My mother, Kim Woosley, and I purchased Little Lambs from Heather Adams and we will re-open Saturday, January 2nd. We are so excited about our new endeavor and cannot wait to meet all of you. Though Little Lambs has changed owners, rest assured that not everything will change. Little Lambs participated in the Business and Professional Women's Annual Fashion Show today. The BPW holds this fashion show to raise money for charity and to fund scholarships. We love to participate in this fashion show every year.

Our models are so cute! They are both wearing Bailey Boys Owl outfits. Anna Beth's jumper is reversible. One side is pink and green plaid with adorable owl applique. The other side is solid green with hot pink ribbon accent. Evan is wearing a long sleeve shirt with that adorable owl applique and brown and green plaid pant. They did a great job!

Look at these adorable monkeys!! These Swingsley monkeys are made by Gund so you know they are of excellent quality. They come in three colors: light brown, medium brown, and dark brown. The floppy Swingsley monkey measures 12 inches long. His little face is so sweet and his fur is very soft and plush. He has a long curled tail so he can swing from the trees (or bed)!

Happy Fall Y'all! I'm so excited about all the new arrivals for fall we have at Little Lambs. Everything is so cute! We have so many adorable outfits for boys and girls right now that are perfect for this fall weather.

I love fall! I'm ready for the leaves to change colors and the weather to get even cooler. I look forward to so many things in the fall. I love taking Anna Beth to the pumpkin patch and Boo at the Zoo. We're going to carve pumpkins and make caramel apples. We'll dress up for Halloween and go trick-or-treating. Anna Beth and her best friend Kaylie will have fun playing games at the local fall festival. Fall is such a great time to make fun family memories. What are you looking forward to this fall?

Little Lambs will be having a Southern Clay Pottery Party, Saturday, October 10! Tracey with Southern Clay will be at Little Lambs to make ceramic pottery with our children's hand and/or foot prints. She will have Christmas Tree ornaments, plates, mugs, and more. Tracey will paint your child's hand or foot print on the ceramic piece and then decorate it in the colors and design you would like. I am so excited about Mom & Me! This is the first season we will have Mom & Me and I have to tell you it it adorable. Mom & Me has beautiful smocked dresses and bubbles, adorable longalls and rompers for boys, and great monogrammable pieces. We have several new items from Mom & Me including a great dress for school that has colorful smocked crayons. I can just see my daughter having her school pictures made in this dress. We also have this adorable longall that has a smocked tractor scene. It's perfect for the pumpkin patch!

Anna Beth Goes Back To School

Today Anna Beth went back to her Mother's Day Out program. She was so excited to get back to school and see all of her friends. When I dropped her off she ran in to greet her friends and immediately began playing. She was too busy to stop playing to come and hug me when I left! It was hard to leave her again, but I know she's being taken care of and loved. She has such an outgoing and loving personality that I know she will make many new friends. She looked like she was ready to take on the world when I took this picture of her this morning! Now I can't wait to pick her up to hear all about her first day back to school.

Does anyone else think the summer went by way too quickly? It's hard to believe it's time for the kiddos to go back to school. It's time to get new school clothes, pencils, paper, and crayons. Next week my little angel will go back to her Mother's Day Out class and she is so excited to see her friends again! She is growing up so fast. It's exciting to think about the beginning of a new school year. Our kids will learn new things and make new friends. Anna Beth is going to be taking a dance class this year so that is something else new we have to look forward to. I hope everyone has a wonderful year!

What three independently owned businesses would you miss if they suddenly weren't there? That's what the 3/50 Project wants us to consider. We've all heard about the bank bailouts and the help for the car companies. What about the little guy? The mission of the 3/50 Project is to get us to spend locally. Think about those local businesses you enjoy and stop in. Say hello and maybe find something you like. It's that simple! Your purchases are what keep those business alive. Try to visit 3 local businesses a month and spend $50 (total, not in each store). That's where the "3/50" comes from.
I think this is a fascinating concept! So this week when I go to get my husband a father's day gift I'm going to The Little Red Barn or Dixie Auto Parts and I'll take him out to eat at a local restaurant, maybe The Ark. Next week when I have to buy my friend a birthday present I'll go to Two Sister's Gallery or La Ti Da. Of course I still have to buy from big stores like Winn Dixie and K-Mart but every little bit that I spend locally helps! For every $100 spent in locally owned stores $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spend that in a national chain, only $43 stays here.

Little Lambs is so excited to be a part of the Relay for Life in Pell City this year! Relay For Life is a very important fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The Relay is May 1st at the Pell City High School. We will be taking turns walking around the track for 4 hours. Someone from our team will be on the track the entire time.
Relay is very important to us because we lost a dear family member to cancer. We want to raise money for ACS because they help those who have been touched by cancer and they fund research to find a cure for cancer. Too many people hear the words "you have cancer" and we hope to see a cure in our lifetime.

Santa at Little Lambs

Santa was a big hit at Little Lambs this weekend! He sat with all the children so they could tell him what they want for Christmas. He even shared his cookies with them. We had a lot of fun with all the kids.

The photographer, Amber, is wonderful at capturing those little moments that you want to remember. This picture of Anna Beth and Santa is so sweet. He is reading her the story of the First Christmas. She loves Santa and this is definitely a memory we will always cherish.

Little Lambs participated in a fashion show this week. The fashion show is an annual event hosted by the Pell City Business and Professional Women Association to benefit local charities.

Our adorable models are: Molly, Gavin, Anna Beth and Gabrielle. They had a great time walking out on the stage and modeling these Christmas clothes. They all look precious in their Christmas outfits. I think they're ready for Santa!

Wow! It's hard to believe Christmas is so close!
Santa will be visiting Little Lambs Saturday, November 15 and Olive You Photography will be there to take your little one's picture with him. This will be lots of fun for all the children. They will be able to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.
Tracey with Southern Clay Pottery will also be there to make ceramic Christmas tree ornaments with they kids' hand prints and footprints. These are great keepsakes! I love looking at my pottery and remembering how tiny my baby used to be. Their little hand prints and footprints are so precious.
We are looking forward to a great day. It will be a fun way to kick off the holiday season!
